MyOptique Group [we operate online retail brands Glasses Direct & Sunglasses Shop] are looking for a hands-on Creative Manager to lead our Creative Team in the delivery of design and copy in line with our brand strategy. Our ideal candidate will be a senior designer with experience of owning brand strategy, managing strategy execution and of acting as guardian of the high creative standards we have come to expect of our Creative Team.

As Creative Manager you will work closely with Marketing specialists (Insight, CRM, Digital Marketing) as well as our Planning and Product (Buying and Merchandising) Team to produce design, copy and editorial content that supports our brands’ development and evolution. Reporting directly to our Chief Marketing Officer, this role will also offer the opportunity to significantly contribute to brand strategy and rebranding plans.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading the Creative Team, including day-to-day operational management (time-keeping, absence reporting, holiday approval, back-to-work interviews), as well as overseeing workload and scheduling
  • People management, including recruitment, induction, training, performance management 
  • Managing the creative cycle from conception to deployment on our sites, including assigning projects to designers and copywriters, managing and prioritising projects and scheduling and overseeing delivery in line with deadlines
  • Owning and managing adherence to brand guidelines for both Glasses Direct and Sunglasses Shop
  • Setting the highest standards for the creative direction of design and copywriting
  • Leading by example in creation of own designs
  • Keeping up to date with industry best practice and developments; benchmarking MyOptique design and copywriting against best practice and/or relevant market leaders
  • Contributing to the development of brand strategy for Glasses Direct and Sunglasses Shop
  • Leading and managing the delivery of scheduled rebranding project(s)
  • Working in collaboration with Marketing Team colleagues to develop campaign strategies and leading the team in the execution of those campaigns
  • Contributing to wider MyOptique organisational goals (as a subject matter expert), including increasing customer lifetime value, improving online conversion rates and optimising websites
  • Supporting ad hoc strategic projects

You will be:

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML and Sketch
  • Experienced in working with digital assets and with print, preferably in an online environment
  • A proven brand and campaign manager
  • Highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • A true business partner
  • A confident presenter, able to influence and communicate with colleagues throughout the organisation
